thursday was nice. we did have some fun, although not as serious as expected... got back to his place around 2/3, woke up about 7, had breakfast, and then went our separate ways.
friday was totally chilled, i did nothing but backup tons of stuff on my personal pc, and mess around on the net.
around midnight, i made my way to the lizard. i watched the aftermath of the terror attack on the way, which put a damper on the evening. it's not very surprising, but it seriously sucks nonetheless... un-fscking-believable what these bastards get up to.
the beginning of the night was kinda weird. the dj was a bit crap, the mood was a bit dark (obvious following an attack), and i got into a fight with the bouncer 'cause he made a REALLY stupid comment - about the part i played during the apartheid - when he found out i was south african.
i wanted to smack the shit out of his stupid mouth. the mongoose held me back, and it took a while to calm down.
then two girl-friends of a guy who works there (and studies linguistics) came, and the evening picked up (along with the dj's music). we all danced (all respect, the gorgeous girl is on crutches, so she danced on her knees on a seat) until the club closed, and then we took turns carrying her as the four of us headed off to the -relatively- nearby coffee shop.
we had a great time, and left around 6am when the sun came up. the mongoose came back with me to my place, and we crashed for a couple of hours before going to his place. where we ate like pigs, i started reading jhonan vasquez's squee.
we went off to the beach, in bat-yam, walked for a bit, got excellent ice-creams, and met up with some of the mongoose's friends.
i told the story of japman's boss offering me his brand new porsche carreira if i'd be his boyfriend. every one of the guys was horrified that i didn't take the car! it was hysterical, hearing them describe the lengths they'd go to... haven't laughed that much in ages.
i was actually almost embarrassed about my decision :$
we returned to the mongoose's place, where the lack of sleep caught up with me. on my return home, i stopped by the local coffee shop, tanked up, and am now finishing some work before possibly going off to the lizard again.
thing is, i've been searching for a girl like the one we met last night since i broke up with her, and it turns out that she's apparently interested in me. the only thing is i've gotten so used to disappointment, that my expectations are rock bottom. i can't pray enough that this will work out.
*sigh* back to work. i've just figured out some cool shit with transact sql, hopefully i'm almost done.
a story about a man making his dreams come true... but with all the interesting bits left out.
