better

i don't know why, but definitely better today. all our systems went down this morning, and subsequently killed my "personal" machine - it didn't get better alongside everything else... all i could access was visual basic, so i built myself a small and cute math game. it's fun, and pretty, but i'll be damned if i can get a decent score.

one of the guys in our section just finished the officers' course, so we all went to the training base to watch the ceremony. killed the rest of the day, and now that i'm home i'm contemplating whether to eat, get exercise, sleep, or perform some combination thereof. not at the same time.

on my way home, i had my third cigarette for the day - i'm slowing down - and in the mood i was in, walking against the rush-hour traffic jam, i hit upon the brilliantly silly idea of carrying a sign that says something cute to get people smiling. now to find something that's funny and not too corny.

yep, that about sums up the day. uh, huh.
