NOW i remember why my body was in much better shape four years ago!
i forgot just how much exercise one gets when rollerblading - i'm DYING right now... also, i spent the last half hour on my blades in SEVERE pain - i have (a) HUGE blister(s) on the sole of my right foot (i'm too scared to look before i get in the shower).
it got so bad that i blindly informed the really cute girl who was blading near me, although i wasn't too surprised when she began avoiding me :D
i haven't bladed like that in YEARS.
we did the length of tel aviv a couple of times, it was crazy -
the downhills were amazing
the park in the dark was amazing
the people: SO - MANY - PEOPLE
but -
good lord, the uphills almost killed me. i obviously need to do this more often (and get back into shape).
oh yeah - and two important things:
1) i was VERY lucky, there was someone from my area there who could give me a lift home, as i didn't want to pay NIS 60 (R90) for the taxi
2) i learned NOT to help the n00bs (<Phycon> helping n00b=ass on ground):
two very cute girls, who couldn't go faster than walking pace, almost got me left behind, and the only reason i went all the way to tel aviv in the first place was to travel with the group. so i had to be a bastard, which sucked, but i will NOT miss all the fun for two idiots trying to run before they can crawl.
highly shaggable, though - bit of a miss.
i hope there's hot water by now - i DESPERATELY need a shower, and some sleep. the sleep of kings, i tell you. kings.
a story about a man making his dreams come true... but with all the interesting bits left out.
