rock on! i've been saved!
i got distracted from my mission to tel aviv yesterday... i was hypnotized by more episodes of prison break. the brotherly love one is fantastic. i eventually tore myself away when s'belle came to pick me up.
oh, and i did get a chance to check the code that tech-support sent me to prove that the api works... and it does! i checked it against my code, which is EXACTLY the same. but lo! i paste their code in and it works! WTF?! does their included binary file make whitespace count, somehow?
we drove through to mike's place - it took forever because s'belle's not too good with directions. or parking. females, huh? it looks like you're alone with your skills, moonflake.
we had fish & chips: that was just as good as last time :) it was a bit weird when we were joined by a whole group of soldiers, including a cute girl from my team. lots of army talk. but i did discover that s'belle knows how to give an EXCELLENT back-scratch. she's good for something!
eventually i walked her to her car, then walked to the zamir. good club, superb music, and the girls - were - to die for. the previous night really did cover all my bad luck... at least for a while, anyway :P
i left around 2.30 to walk back to mike's place, to pick up the dog and the dutch guy from his kibbutz. we got back to the zamir around 3, just as our favourite dj (ofdj) started his set. bloody brilliant set, as expected ^_^
and the mongoose and a few other friends were there, too.
i'm still blown away by one of the girls - absolutely gorgeous. i wish, probably along with most guys, that i had some clue when it came to picking up girls in a club. i just couldn't do it. i cannot describe how disappointed i am with myself.
and it's not even a question of self-confidence. it's a matter of me knowing that whatever i say in hebrew comes out wrong, and if i speak in english then either it seems like i'm showing off, or the girl in question doesn't understand english, and that screws things up. so no matter what, i lose... unless i get hit on. mostly that occurs with real uglies and guys. i hate that.
anyway, the music. each track got me going more than the last. hell, nearing the end i think i was the only person who had enough energy to go crazy to ministry - thieves!
oh, and we were disappointed to learn that "wake up harry potter!" is actually "war for territory!"... oh well. one can't ALWAYS be right. now that i know, i can actually hear the words :P
the mongoose, the sniper and i sat down for pastry-type things for breakfast, and then took a cab to the lizard. i left them there; about half-way home i noticed that somebody had stopped in the middle of the road: ofdj had seen me walking, and gave me a ride home :) next time i'll just wait for him to finish the set, i could've enjoyed dancing a bit more.
now for bed! or more prison break! whatever!
