*** 6th ***
work went well, and i got home around 3am. i finished up a crappy version of tic-tac-toe in c#, and went to sleep.
she came over, in the early afternoon, for a quick visit before running off (to a birthday party. hmmph.), and i spent the day relaxing.
we had friday night supper at her grandparents, which was really nice. we had bobotie.
very nice.
after dinner, we babysat together. which was kinda fun - not much babysitting was involved, as the kids were fast asleep - we watched a really good documentary (done by the mother we were babysitting for, i'm going to try to bring a copy to south africa), and then the beginning of a very, very strange movie made by some crazy woman, who did everything from script writing, to casting, to directing, to acting - and although it was very good (bad, but good), it was quite disturbing material.
but fascinating.
*** yesterday ***
i woke up just before noon, had a quick breakfast that would have been vastly improved had the yoghurt not been more than a year past its expiry date, and spent the majority of the day studying (read: farting around).
i am COMPLETELY taken up with hunter x hunter - both the anime, and the manga. both are absolutely brilliant.
she picked me up at 21.50, and we met up with sammy in the billiard bar in ra'anana, where we had to wait for about 40 minutes to get a table - in spite of my reserving a table beforehand. dumb bastard working there can't tell the difference between a pool table and a snooker table, and i was VERY specific (to the point of rudeness) about which i wanted.
we had some really great games, and everyone enjoyed themselves (although i enjoyed myself more than they did, i was having an extremely good night).
*** today ***
i woke up around 11am, took a quick walk to buy some toiletries, and a banana-shake-inna-bag (an israeli special), and she came over to say goodbye before returning to gedera. which was rather sad.
i had a very nice breakfast (she brought over almost an entire leftover-but-VERY-tasty cheesecake), and i spent some time semi-meditating.
i feel rather good.
quite relaxed.
and far more ready to begin studying. which i'm about to do.
maybe.
*** later ***
sucky.
sucky, sucky, sucky.
that's how my day's been, overall.
on the plus side, i chatted with hido for a while, and it's been a long time since we've been online simultaneously.
on the minus, i have an exam at 9am, that i'm not ready for. and another exam at 4pm, that i'm not ready for. and although i've studied some today, it hasn't been nearly enough.
none of this is taking into account the exam on tuesday, but at least that one's in the afternoon...
*sigh*
supper was good, though - instant mushroom sauce is without a doubt my favourite. and the cheesecake is really amazing, although i have to hide it away from grootbek.
a story about a man making his dreams come true... but with all the interesting bits left out.
