stretched out

we finally trained yesterday! and it almost killed me - i can't believe i'm so unfit. i spent a couple of long moments seeing stars...

get back, quick snack, meet a friend of chc's and then off (the three of us) to kfar saba. the metropoline buses have wifi: very cool.

the bus driver was a total prick, though, and aside from being rude he also dropped us off about six stops after the one we needed... sammy picked us up, and we were off to eyal, a small village near kalkilia. the girl who's been holding on to chc's stuff seems... miserable. i talked to her for a bit while we moved everything to the car, and i felt really sorry for her.

we were already parking in herzeliya (stopping for a drink) when i suddenly remembered that her friend had needed a ride back, and it was too late to go back for him. i felt really bad about that. i still do.

we had good drinks (i went for the hot chocolate / brandy) and fine conversation, then drove down to tel aviv to get everything home. it was great seeing sammy, and a pity that we don't get together very often.

chc and i went to the mafteach - the guy managing the door had tried to friend me on facebook and i recognized him, so we got in without a hassle :P
the music was mostly brilliant, although we'd arrived just at the point when things usually get out of hand as far as space is concerned. it was certainly a lot easier being two people - and we did find a spot that worked really well for a while - but eventually i just couldn't take being buffeted so much.

chc left with me, and she'd had a very introspective evening that had us talking the whole way home and for a while afterwards.

...

i woke up around 10am to get to the bank and pay my tuition for the next year: not too complicated ^_^

i've been catching up online, and just received a phone call letting me know that i'm not suitable for a job but that they'll keep my cv on file - nice of them. there are ways to say no, and that's a good one.

now to see what else is available.
