a little positive

timing is everything. i haven't gotten back to the guy i interviewed with last week, and i don't want the option to disappear while i wait for everyone else. today happens to be a particularly bad day for the guys at my old job... and the mongoose only woke up now and doesn't think i'll be able to earn real money with his company (although i must admit, he did give me a good feeling when he affirmed my value at quite a bit higher than i'm asking for).

i made my way to the police station to report my camera stolen... i wasn't expecting the experience to be that fluid. the guy who helped me was easygoing and thorough, and i was only too happy to give him full marks on their service feedback form.

the fact that they have a form like that puts a smile on my face :)

on my way back home i spoke to one of the guys who i've applied to work with, and he was really enthusiastic about both my attention to detail and the amount i'm asking for - i hope he manages to net me more than that!

i also ran into a cute girl from the rollerblading group - turns out she's studying linguistics, so we might be neighbours on campus too :)

i have my pc back, and am currently installing ubuntu and prepping for another backup. just in case. i really just need my life's infrastructure to hold together for a while!
