neil gaiman - once again comes out trumps. or a king. or something.

anyway, so i took the bus to SB's, made it just in time for a pleasant dinner. i tried to fix her pc, i really did. it just doesn't like me. at all.

i got a much-needed massage, with one of those glass animal-massager thingies, and a cup of coffee for my trouble. then time sped back up and i had to bus to work.

a couple of incidents on the bus made me fully aware of the aptness of neil gaiman's comment at the beginning of the book i'm now totally into: he had a rumpled, just-woken-up look to him, which made him more attractive to the opposite sex than he would ever understand or believe.

another plus to my slept-deficit.

  1. I've just had to nuke-and-pave Candice's PC. It was fucked up, totally, mostly viruses I suspect. I must still get hold of NAV for her, or some other AV software. NOD32 maybe.

  2. i'm personally rather anti-NAV, and my mommy wants me to organize it for her... i can't decide if it's really worse just to let viruses in.

  3. Anything is better than nothing. NAV only slows your machine down by a constant amount, and won't actually kill anything critical. Trust me, Candice's PC was _fucked_. An error message popped up every time you tried to run an exe. It was _bad_, the worst I've seen.
