*** yesterday ***

i woke up all groggy, got dressed, and went downstairs, where i was greeted by shadowslight's father. went to their place for supper, which was very nice, and extremely spicy, and we all watched a great movie called tadpole.
i was thinking of the movie fallen, at some point, and for the life of me couldn't remember the title. this continued to plague me until later in the evening.

after the movie, shadowslight took me home. i found it empty, and decided to go for a walk. i stopped in at my sister's, where we talked for a bit, and i got some coffee, and shadowslight sms'ed me the single word, fallen.
* phew *

the first half of my walk was really nice, but sad at the same time. i walked along the promenade, watching the oil-rig, and the waves crashing against the rocks, with a light, cool breeze and distant sounds of traffic accompanying me.
i got to the part of the grass with the swings and things, and sat on the merry-go-round in a trance-like state, just staring straight ahead and preemtively missing cape town.
the way back was a bit dodgy, as there were guys nonchalantly standing against the wall staring at me, and some guy was "discreetly" tailing me. nothing like paranoia to ruin a special moment.

*** today ***

i got up unnecessarily early this morning, dropped my mom off at work, and went to tkd. we had a decent training, albeit tiring - when asked what was wrong with us, i responded that i'd been listening to rodriguez - cold fact in the car, which can take the fight out of anyone. at least it brought smiles to SOME people's faces.

i went home, and my second mom made me lunch (one fluffy omelette with sliced up sausages and onions, really good). i had a shower, read for a bit, and then drove to bellville for an appointment with an eye specialist.
the man checked me out, and informed me that my vision is fine - good enough for a fighter pilot. nice to hear! he used these anaesthetic eyedrops on my, however, which really stung. and made my eyes drip yellow goo.

figuring i didn't have enough petrol to make a round trip, i went straight to milnerton, where i had a quick lunch and parked off in the car while waiting for my mom. i got through quite a bit of my book, but i'm worried that i'm not going to be able to finish it before i leave...

on my way to supper now, and then i have to get to bed early so i can go to training in the morning.
