wow. half an hour on the phone to the ministry of environmental affairs: twenty five minutes of hearing how they're suffering from the same things, but there's nothing they can do. then five minutes of explaining how it's okay if they don't actually do anything before i hung up in disgust.
my favourite part of the conversation: "for every research paper there's a contradictory one"
i asked incredulously if she'd ever heard of the notion of "consensus" before she so cleverly refutes all scientific inquiry.
because there's "consensus", and there are "idiots".
