i walked onto campus surprised by the tent for the annual commemoration of the war on gaza - where's ours for sderot? i'm sensing a slant.
the italian started our day with discursive abuse and parentheses: he spends most of our classes talking to himself and amusing himself with only vaguely connected trivia. if i didn't know what "vaudeville" was, i would have written it down and fretted about its relevance to the material... what a horrendous course it's become!
a cyborg manifesto got me to thinking...
i finally understand that medium / message thing.
a description of the periodical press got me thinking of archie digests, for some reason.
after class, i got the ball rolling on our study group, and had a good talk with my kibbutz cousin. she's really had a rough time, and the last few months are no exception :(
i was so tired i almost lost my phone cover just before the second class. not cool.
things i shouldn't have said in our second class: "the difference between melville and wilde? wilde has the power of subtlety, and says remarkably interesting things".
when everyone agreed with me, he mocked our lack of taste - i couldn't control the urge: "it's a good thing sanity is defined by the majority!"
ironic how easily that can be manipulated - i don't believe in sanity, *because* it's so easy to turn on someone and claim them unreliable. i apologized to him afterwards, only to discover that he'd quite forgotten about it and i had to repeat the sentiment so he knew what he was forgiving.
don't you hate it when that happens?
work: lots of it. re-basing with our SVN is overly complicated. i think i got through the worst of my current project.

i think i need to go and find my girlfriend.
