either it was really hot today, or that was a fever breaking :P
i arrived at the clinic, and realized before going in on wheels that i hadn't tried to call once i got outside.
no problem.
i made an appointment with the opthalmologist, then continued on to work. i spent the day familiarizing myself with one of the less interesting systems; it became much more interesting when i discovered that all the php logic is ass backwards, and i invested a fair amount of time understanding it while being completely flabbergasted.
after waiting an hour for the burger i'd ordered from zinc, i called to discover that the driver had had a problem.
no shit.
it arrived fifteen minutes later with no charge; it had to be warmed up in the microwave, but it was still a tasty burger and it was free - not a bad lunch.
nobody complained about jamiroquai at work today, and i was impressed to discover that i like a lot of stereo mcs (i didn't know the name) :)
i've been stressing a little over health insurance, and i was called up and offered a program today that sorts me out comfortably... *phew*
by the time i was ready to leave (chased away by a headache brought on by a buggy mysql database) i'd figured out how to rewrite the site logic and manipulate a few of the tables to make it all smoother, faster, shorter and more efficient. my web-fu is still good, it seems. and i got flex and php on friendly terms, so it was all-in-all a successful afternoon.
* the quote "i think i broke it" wasn't appreciated. at least i managed to get it all working before heading off :P
i got home all sweaty again - there was barely enough time for a pirate bath before walking to shadal 7: a dive underground that's extremely cool. lipgirl and i met there to hear a comedian friend of hers, alon nahari. aside from starting an hour late and aggravating me with his toilet humour [literally], he did have some funny topics and he's pretty much the first israeli comedian to make me laugh.
i wasn't totally enthusiastic when he began... not only did the warm-up act suck, but i realized that lipgirl simply isn't serious about music. buggrit :(
both the walk there and back had me feeling like a king - was this past week me being on the downside of bipolar? another of lipgirl's comedian friends joined me halfway, and our chat was more serious than friendly... my bad :(
i went shopping, and returned home to discover that chc finished the tuna (apparently, i'm mostly sure that i didn't have the last one), so i settled for mixing marmite and beef on one rice cake and nutella and beef on another. they both worked. or my tastebuds are screwed. it doesn't really matter.
i was going to work, but i'm tired. morning, then.
the dog whisperer? i'd throw a "come on!" but he's pretty darn impressive.
