new year's...

that was a bit disappointing. i watched an excellent movie, and that was about as exciting as it got. and i don't even remember the name of the movie.

on saturday my "boss" helped me move my bed - i was seriously surprised that grootbek kept his side of the deal, and i got my bed back at ALL. my apartment is AMAZING, i'm absolutely loving it. now i just have to find a laundromat, and figure out the bus routes.

during the weekend, i figured out what i want to do with my life for the next couple of years. i'm about to become an activist, spreading my vision to as many people as possible. my message is simple: the world is going to end. and we can do something about it. now i need to write up a manifesto, and translate it, and stick it up on a website - then i can start seriously pushing my idea. it's not my idea really, i'm just determined to share it. damn memes.

yesterday was totally crap. i'm having serious hebrew issues again, and i was effectively banned from speaking in my office. after struggling the entire morning, i was suddenly informed that i had guard duty - they'd misspelled my name in the register, so i couldn't find it. guarding without a toothbrush and bedclothes is REALLY shitty, especially in this horrifically wintery weather.
fortunately, after only wasting about an hour at the armoury, they released me from my duties, postponing them for another day.
w00t. kind of.

today was a bit easier - i spent the morning reading with a dictionary, which sucked, but then hopped off to the induction base to meet, greet, and help out with some problems. was okay.

i was hoping the dog would join my unit - for purely selfish reasons, i need a friend i can speak to during the day. because we tried to pull him into our team, the other unit pulled even harder - it got to the point where they basically gave him whatever job he wanted.
bastard. i hope he's grateful.

so, yeah, time for a status meeting, and then i'm off for an evening of r&r.
