blogfail - happy halloween!

apparently blogger was down today. the only site i found that monitors blogspot's up status reported everything fine. when i eventually called up my isp, they couldn't get through either...

i finally got around to listing my possessions for insurance. i decided to use google docs, and was pleasantly surprised at how neat and tidy their presentation app is! i was totally amazed to discover that my highest estimate was no more than half of what i own - that means that i'm really not covered at the moment. i've sent them an email (in the hope that we can sort everything out online), and i'll give them a call tomorrow to straighten things out.

that was a real headache, though. i don't ever want to go through it again.

i watched a lot of the big bang theory today. absolutely brilliant :)
i also watched an episode of full metal alchemist before going out, which is a really fun series.

samhain is upon us! i painted up (ye olde scottish style), lit candles, and was inspired to paint the following spirit bonfire scene...

i bought a sixpack at the supermarket, to a few raised eyebrows, a couple of weird comments and one very frightened-looking lady, then got a ride with an ex-team-mate to a house party thrown for my old unit. i wasn't expecting a traditional house party - serious sound, loads of alcohol, party tricks and good vibes... only one person - the entire night - picked up on why i was painted without me having to explain...

i had fun, and i must admit i've come home wondering how i feel about songbird...

i would've gone to my old neighbour's performance tonight, but it would've taken me too long to get there. i've got to start moving to get into bed already. it was a great weekend - but it's going to be a busy week, too.
