i will be extremely pleased, and very lucky if i can comfortably walk tomorrow. it was stupid of me not to put on pads (and there was actually a moment's hesitation before i left), and they would've totally helped because the freak slip had me landing properly - exactly where the pads provide cover.
climbing the wall with a swollen hand and two bruised (and swollen, too) knees was tougher than it needed to be. we short-changed ourselves by arriving late and ended up with only an hour and a half of driving ourselves nuts on difficult routes... but in my state i wasn't really going to last much longer.
speaking of change, i was holding onto a few coins when i landed. the apple was abandoned immediately, but i realized after i got up that the coins hadn't budged. i have odd priorities.
i'm off to have a drink with ta2, maybe paying the weekly in-city trance party a visit on the way back. i'm definitely not going to be too pushy with my body though.
a story about a man making his dreams come true... but with all the interesting bits left out.
