even better, i finally found the answer, and got my program working.
ReplyDeletewhen i say working, what i mean is that a number is produced, and it's supposedly the correct number; although nobody seems to know what that number actually signifies.
and nobody can satisfactorily explain the relationship between /proc/<PID>/statm and /proc/<PID>/status.
how can you not love linux??
