*** 17th ***

i pretty much spent my day playing counterstrike, and starcraft, and tekken. i started doing my math homework, too, but it didn't really happen.

*** 18th ***

early #$@%ing sunday morning. in accounting class. taking a quiz.
which wasn't very easy.

we then had math, three hours of it.
after class, i sat in the library, and did my algorithms homework (which was basically copying the previous year's solutions), and then SxS picked me up, and we went to ramat aviv.
where we didn't do any work.
we watched some vacation videos from brazil, which was awesome: they reminded me of the life i left behind in cape town - those were easy, easy days.

we went to mcdonald's for supper, where we ate like pigs, and mmf and SxS and i had a rather entertaining argument about israel and israelis, and for the first time since i've been here, i had an israeli on my side of the argument: this is really not such a bad place to live.

i passed out,

*** yesterday ***

and woke up about 01.30, with human nature on the telly - man, that looks like a seriously demented film, and i'm glad i didn't watch it.
SxS gave me a ride home.

i woke up at 07.30, and discovered - while trying to make myself hot chocolate - that grootbek had scaled my sugar.
that really pissed me off. while writing a threatening letter to him, i knocked over a mug and a plate, and it took me about ten minutes to clean it up properly, and so i was late for class.
what a great start to the morning.

the first class was interesting. immediately afterwards, i received a call from grootbek, terrified, trying to convince me that it wasn't him.
a short while later, mmf and i were on our way to meet with one of our professors, and were discussing the fact that we were about to miss the really boring class.
we've taken to calling the lecturer of that class "santa claus", due to his appearance.
"missing santa claus' class doesn't perturb me, " i said, rather loudly.
as santa claus himself walked past...

our meeting with the professor lasted about an hour and a half, and our applied project has completely changed once again.
initiation document, here we come: round three.

we got to class just as the quiz began. fortunately, he allowed us to take it, but i've never seen anything but a blank look in his eyes, and today he looked at us with pure malice.

and he's taking us for two courses next semester.
way to go, me.

after class, i ran around trying to sort out my studies, and i'm not sure how much i achieved.

i finished my c project, went to accounting (lots of pink pens - i don't get it either), didn't understand much, and went home.

i went to taekwondo, which was a totally aggravating experience, and, as i'm unfit, totally destroying too. it really sucked, and i was totally buggered.

SxS picked me up, and we went back to my place. where i had an argument with our brit, who's supposed to have organized toilet paper a week and a half ago, and still hasn't. he basically told me to go and get it myself, so screw him, i bought my own and i ain't sharing.
i hate the inanity, but i have to stand up for myself.

we played tekken for a while,

*** today ***

i had an awesome shower, and i'm now off to bed.

*** later ***

uugh.
* whimper *
* snuffle *

i had a horrid day today, mostly. everything was painful, due to a lack of oxygen in my system, and a runny, blocked nose. yes, please note the oxymoron.

work was okay - two hours of nothing, as our US counterparts hadn't done their job, and one hour for lunch (hot thai soup, with plenty of bits), and i left.

i took a bus to ramat aviv, where i was picked up by da (who's apartment we've been studying at). when we got to his place, i passed out on the couch.

i suppose that was good.

i woke up, and tried to work on our presentation for thursday. i did learn one or two things, but i didn't get very far in understanding the concept as a whole.
bummer.
i remembered today that the guy i was supposed to write the drivers for (*1) had a decent job in the army, and he's agreed to put forward my cv to a contact of his -
w00t!

(*1) he couldn't do them either. it's merely a case of pathetic documentation, and bad sample files. thank you microsoft.

he gave me a ride to the bus-stop, i bussed home, had a quick just-add-water "supper", a great shower, and i'm getting ready for bed.

i'm struggling to choose between sleep, homework, and starcraft, and i know i can't choose them all...
