ah-HA! i wasn't just imagining it - the glands behind my jaw are swollen, and that does make me look a bit different. nystire's response yesterday threw me: "you mean, more swollen than usual?"

i came to a very grave conclusion yesterday: i'd rather have headaches from eye-strain than lose my ability to focus properly. it makes sense that my eye troubles are connected with my glasses, but because i've never worn glasses before the last couple of years i've never really thought about it too much.

and then i suddenly remembered that when i spent that half a year in the desert, i didn't wear them and i didn't fare so badly.
