the last time i spoke with mmf i reminded him that in 2003 i was looking for a partner and i pitched to him an idea that i'd had about modular mobile devices; back then he shot the idea down on the grounds that nobody would go for it, and when we last spoke i'd just learned about phonebloks. today's mmf's birthday, and reminded of that conversation and curious to see what's new on that front, i came across this wired article from last month about project ara.
this is seriously exciting stuff! a pity i had nothing to do with it, but i'm very glad somebody made it happen :)
