define irony!

and in a delicious twist, it suddenly strikes me that not only is alanis morissette - ironic a perfectly good example of "legitimate" irony because the song doesn't contain any, but that the word itself has been transformed by popular usage to mean the "expectedly unexpected". which is not what the word originally means. which is perfectly ironic :D

why did i watch fry and laurie reunited until 4am?! what the hell???

i dreamed of a cape town reunion experience which became extremely confused, and that was followed by an entirely arbitrary series of senselessness. i woke up after lunchtime, and wasn't feeling good at all. eventually i took my netbook to starbucks to work on my comics for a while; it was an ugly day, but watching the twilight snowfall from a cozy spot made it much better. finishing a section helped too.

i checked, it's only our subway that didn't have enough demand for falafel to keep it stocked. i got coins from the supermarket, the girl making my change seemed upset and hit the coin stack pretty violently before confusing the numbers several times.

in addition to not feeling well, my neck and back have been getting progressively more stiff and sore since yesterday. it's very frustrating and distracting :)

i ran laundry and got to work on my leap motion sample project, and am pleased to report that i've made good progress and that it looks like c# will allow me to get the desired behaviour without resorting to any workarounds! very cool, microsoft, very cool.

now it's dinnertime, and then i'll be off to watch another episode of house of cards with vfmp.
