passive activism

the sadness of this last week is overwhelming,
but the stories are far from over.

there will be more rapists getting off lightly,
there will be more hate-crimes,
there will be more gun violence,
there will be more terrorism.

things need to change,
and talking about them amongst ourselves is not changing anything.

it's our actions the victims need,
before we ourselves become the next victims.

my heart is with the victims,
in tel aviv,
in orlando,
and all over the world.

i just wish i knew what to do with my hands.
