according to this forum, and then again to this other forum, i'm not the only person to suffer from this stupid problem.
my shitty digital camera takes hundreds of acceptable photos during the day and even in adverse weather. my mum's used to last a couple of hours on fresh batteries regardless of usage, and didn't even manage an introduction to the slopes before breaking down completely and producing the random beeps mentioned above - undefined in its comprehensively useless manual.
now i either have to play with it and pray, or send it in to samsung. i think i'd rather just buy another olympus.
