My campaign to produce Shakespeare's Sonnets: A Graphic Novel Adaptation needs your help! Please sign up at https://www.patreon.com/fisherking for access to exclusive content and the opportunity to be a part of the magic!

I'm also producing a podcast discussing the sonnets, available on

For those who prefer reading to listening, the first 25 sonnets have been compiled into a book that is available now on Amazon and the Google Play store.

hares and coneys

i finally understand the difference! and now for the whopper:

i was always told that "guinea pig" translated into hebrew is שפן ניסויים (shafan nisuyim), and so that's what i've used. how surprised was i last night to discover that the actual term for "guinea pig" is חזיר ים (chazir yam) or "water pig"!

the first translation means "experimentation rabbit". i find this fascinating.
