no frisbee

i decided it was time to go outside and enjoy the sunshine, and was on my way to the beach when i realized that i hadn't taken my frisbee with me. when i returned home, instead of taking the frisbee i cleaned the apartment and then took my netbook to cafeneto while the floors dried.

google docs was doing strange things. i saved all my work in open document format, and i'm hoping that it'll transfer back elegantly.
the tri-chocolate cake was good.

a neighbour of mine rocked up, and we continued a discussion we'd been having a while back... i'm very proud to have been a factor in his decision to study something that interests him; he's incredible satisfied, and he's been spreading the word. one studies to be educated, and there's no need to confuse education with profession, unless you're sharp enough to turn your field of interest into a profession.

don't study for cash. it's not worth it.

i've been trying to upload photos to facebook all afternoon, with no luck. something's wrong with my java installation - that seems to happen at every distribution upgrade :/

i watched some more full metal alchemist, then paid a visit to one of ze germans - aside from making great coffee, he might be able to help me with the Big Next Step :)
on my way back from his place, sun project - statistic was playing, the ringing occurring *just* after i crossed the road having had my spidey-sense tingle and being extra wary of the cars turning across the pedestrian crossing...

i discovered that the vodka my house-sitters left in my fridge is really good, then watched some more full metal alchemist while eating a slapped-together dinner. i enjoyed* the walk to the ozen bar to see danny gilboa putting on a brilliant show in honour of his new video [beautifully made, even if you don't understand hebrew you should watch it], and from there i joined ze germans (consisting of the aforementioned austrian, grootbek, the irish, the swedish, sjo and a couple of french guys) for a poker game.

having consumed three or four shots of rum, two shots of vodka and two beers, i was in the right mode for play. i walked out of the game having quadrupled my buy-in, off really shitty hands. and even if i'd walked away empty-handed, i still would have enjoyed myself :)

* "enjoyed": playing music so good that my head and hands were responding unconsciously, and when i realized what i was doing i decided i didn't care
